Why we clean UPVC with purified water

What purified water is, and why it leaves fascias, soffits and windows streak-free.

Bungalow with a dark tiled roof and white windows

If you’ve ever washed a car with tap water and left it to dry in the sun, you’ll have seen the spots it leaves behind. Purified water avoids that.

What purified water is

Tap water contains dissolved minerals. When it dries on a surface, those minerals are left behind as spots and marks. Purified water has had those minerals removed.

Why it cleans well

Water with the minerals taken out picks up dirt readily. It lifts grime from the surface, and when it dries there’s nothing left behind to leave a mark. That’s why it gives a streak-free finish on UPVC and glass.

Where we use it

We use purified water to clean UPVC fascias, soffits and cladding. It removes dirt, algae and black streaks and leaves a clean, even finish. Windows can be cleaned at the same visit.

No harsh scrubbing

Because the water does the work, there’s no need to scrub hard at the plastic, which could scratch it.

See why fascias go green and streaky, fascia and soffit cleaning and window cleaning.
