How gutter vacuum cleaning works

What a gutter vacuum is, why we use a camera, and why the job can be done without mains power.

Clearing gutters used to mean a ladder, a bucket and a trowel. We use a gutter vacuum instead. Here’s how it works.

The vacuum

A gutter vacuum is a powerful vacuum unit connected to lightweight poles that reach up to the gutter from the ground. The end of the pole sits in the gutter and sucks out leaves, moss, silt and other debris. It all goes into the unit, not onto your garden.

The camera

A camera on the pole shows us the inside of the gutter on a screen at ground level. We can see where the blockages are while we work, and check the gutter is clear when we finish. It’s also a good way to spot broken joints or clips.

No mains power needed

Our system is self-contained, so we don’t need to plug into your mains power.

Downpipes

Blocked downpipes are just as much of a problem as blocked gutters. We clear downpipes as part of the job.

Repairs

If the camera shows broken clips or damaged sections, we can repair them, from single clips up to full gutter replacements.
